From the Tourist Office, the goal is in sight. The island of Embiez and Gaou peninsula in sight, the 1st part of the course allows a gentle warm-up, with remarkable points of view from the first hectometers. A mind-blowing perspective to Calanques de Marseille - Cassis, the island of Riou, the Bec de l'Aigle de La Ciotat, worth a detour!
Then, we will walk along the municipal park at the gates of Cap Nègre, before approaching the port of la Coudoulière. The panorama then expands, and we can turn to the Sainte Baume massif in the North, the fort of Six Fours and the Collegiate to the East. The beaches and their limpid water call for swimming lovers! A few songs later, after having felt the possibilities of the scooter on the hyper rolling cycle path, we will approach the island of Gaou through the peaceful port of Brusc, sheltering multiple pointed and welcoming terraces.
Then follows a permanent dazzling. The view of the Ile des Embiez, dear to Paul Ricard, on which it rests forever, is marvelous. The proximity to the sea and the lagoon is omnipresent, beware of deviations if you do not want to fall into the water! The arrival on the island of Gaou allows a new discovery, in the East: the Cap Sicie, the last natural rampart before Toulon (a little bit of Brittany…). The island can be visited in 30 minutes, it is a pearl: turquoise coves, cut rocks, the island of Embiez in the background.
After this moment of suspension, loaded with memories (multiple photos), the return of the “trottineurs” promises to be light: a feeling of collective freedom to return to the starting point.
